JPMedics Kumo 4D - Expert Video Review (Transcript)
Hi, I'm Heather with Emassagechair.com, and this is the all-new JPMedics Kumo Massage Chair. We're really excited about it because it is a 4D L-Track massage chair. It's the only one that's on the market that's made in Japan.
Design
So the quality is really amazing, both in the workmanship of the chair as well as the quality of the styling of the massage. So you can see that the exterior is really well done. Very beautiful interior. Has this great stitching, really plush, soft material, comfy seat in the chair. So very comfortable.
4D Roller Mechanism
This chair features a 4D roller mechanism, which starts way back up here for the back of the head. And that's all the way down the track under the glutes for a glute massage as well. So 4D rollers are a massage experience that's very unique and allow for the rollers to go in and out like a 3D massage chair but incorporate a speed adjustment as well for the speed of the massage.
So as you choose different styles of massage in the chair, you're going to notice that the speed of adjusting as well to gives you a more human-like experience. So the 4D technology is happening as you're sitting in a chair seamlessly. You don't have to do anything to adjust that. Now the 4D roller intensity, you are able to adjust up to four settings and move those rollers forward and back to give you the perfect style and intensity every time that you use a chair.
Air Compression Massage
So now, what you'll want to look at is the air compression on the chair. This chair features a full-body air compression system. So starting here at the shoulders, these are fantastic for the stretching. It's going to hold you in place, and then you move down to the hand and arm massage.
Inside of this hand and arm massage, there are these little nodes, little acupressure bumps that feel really, really nice. They're not too deep or too light, but you can definitely feel them when you're having your hand and arm massage. It features multiple air cells in here to give you a wavelike feeling. You have hip airbags here on the sides of the hip and then down into the Ottoman.
Calf and Knee Massage
The calf and knee air compression is really unique on this chair. Those airbags are going to be moveable. So they're adjustable from the knee area, which is up higher, and then moving on down into the calf area.
So this is the only chair that we know of that successfully combines calf as well as knee air compression. So to take it one step further, they actually added heat to that air compression area as well. So you have heated knee and calf, it's really nice.
Foot Massage
Then you move on down to the foot area of the Ottoman, it has the kneading style foot rollers. They're really nice massaging the entire bottom of the foot, especially the arch and the heel of the foot are taken care of in that foot massage. Very nicely done.
Programs
Now you're going to want to look over at the touch screen tablet remote. On this remote, you have access to all of your massage programs. There are twelve on this chair, so you have tons of options to choose from. My favorite is going to be the vigorous massage.
And then the second choice would be Swedish, but you have tons of options to choose from, like Thai and Balinese as well. And then, you also have memory settings on this chair. That is something that most people are looking for. But not a lot of chairs have the three options for memory settings. They call them custom one, two, and three.
Here you can easily and very quickly select the area that you'd like as well as the style of massage you'd like to choose. Have all the different options to select. You just click save, and you're good to go, and you'll just have custom options one, two, or three to choose from, which is really fantastic.
Space-Saving Design
Now, other things that we love about this chair. It's a space-saving design which means that you can put it up to about five inches away from the wall.
So you really don't need a lot of space to put this chair in your home and it will just recline and move away from the wall as you're sitting so you won't even notice it'll. Just move right away from the wall.
Bluetooth Speakers
This chair also features Bluetooth for your audio, which means you'll be able to attach your phone to the chair with Bluetooth technology so you can listen to your music and enjoy that. You also can see right where the speakers are.
Color Light Therapy
It's going to provide a color light therapy experience which is really amazing. On this chair, there are so many different settings or like six different color choices to select from. Some of them are like a rainbow which will give you variations of color. Some, like the breath program, gently changes and fades in and out of the colors. So this is probably the best color light experience that we could say we've ever seen.
Touch Buttons
Also, a nice feature is these touch buttons. They're at the finger touch buttons, so you can just easily adjust things like you have the back adjustment, knee adjustment, foot adjustment, as well as calves. You can choose your relaxed program, your stretch program, or add heat so you can do all those things as well as power up the chair there.
This chair is really fantastic. It will accommodate users from about 5ft tall up to about 6'3" or 6'4", so it's very comfortable for really everyone.
