The 4D massage roller will move in choreographed movements with both massage rollers and provide a range of intensity during the massage. There are 5 levels of intensity from light to very deep.
The chair also features duel layered airbags that provide compression massage for your arms, legs, and feet. This includes 32 chambers with 66 air cells. This type of design helps the chair provide more range in the Swedish style of compression and release. There are 5 levels of intensity on the airbags.
You can choose from 12 Automatic programs that will range from stretching style programs like Flex, Stretch, or Tension Release, to programs designed to help promote sleep like Relax, or Rest and Recover.
One of my favorite features of this chair is the zero-gravity position. This position elevates your feet above your heart, which helps to reduce pressure on your spine and improve circulation. It's incredibly relaxing and really adds to the overall massage experience.

The Kyota M980 has some creative special features to enhance the massage experience. This includes the SootheMe function which provides Nature Sounds to help relax and immerse a person in the massage experience. I find it helps relax my body and mind and reminds me of a true spa experience.
There is a lot of customization offered for the massage, which ranges from intensity settings on the roller, there are 5, you can adjust the air massage with 5 levels of intensity, 3 different settings for the back heat, as well as 3 settings to the foot rollers.
One of our favorite special features is the Calf Rollers with oscillating massage. This is a more dynamic massage than the standard compress and release that airbags provide and it will feel more like human hands. It will have 3 different levels speed.
There is also the My Memory setting where you can save your custom programs. This works great when we find settings that we really like and don’t want to program each time we use the chair.
Chromotherapy lighting has become fairly common in massage chairs but is still a cool addition. Chromotherapy lighting is best used in a dark setting and has become common with many massage chairs.
